(NEW YORK) — Fans are getting one last sneak peek at what to expect from The Amazing Spider-Man 2 with the release Wednesday of the final official trailer.
Andrew Garfield’s Peter Parker opens the trailer by asking and answering his own question: “You know what it is I love about being Spider-Man? Everything.”
In the trailer, Parker meets up with Harry Osborn, played by Dane DeHaan, and describes himself as a “web” designer.
When Osborn joins forces with the villian Electro, played by Jamie Foxx, things take a turn for the worse.
“You wanted to be the hero. Now, you gotta pay the price,” Electro warns in the trailer.
And although the trailer is full of special effects, fans also get a short glimpse of the romance between Parker and Gwen Stacy, played by Garfield’s real life girlfriend, Emma Stone. When Stacy wants to join in on the life-saving, Parker traps her hand to a car and declares, “Sorry, I love you, don’t hate me!” before flying off.
The Amazing Spider-Man 2 hits theaters May 2.
