(MIAMI) — The Miami Dolphins agreed to a four-year contract with two-time Pro Bowl cornerback Brent Grimes on Monday. The deal is worth $32 million, which includes $16 million in guaranteed money, according to ESPN.
“I am thrilled that we have been able to reach an agreement with Brent to keep him as a member of the Miami Dolphins,” said Dolphins general manager Dennis Hickey in a statement. “Brent is a two-time Pro Bowler who has been a valuable piece to our organization as a player on the field, a leader in the locker room as well off the field in the South Florida community.”
The 30-year-old Grimes signed with the Dolphins last year, after spending his first six seasons with the Atlanta Falcons. In 59 career starts, he has 17 interceptions.
