The Huskies will now meet the top-seeded Florida Gators at AT&T Stadium next Saturday in the Final Four.

Spartans guard Keith Appling fouled Shabazz Napier on a three-point attempt when Connecticut was up 53-51 with 30.6 seconds left in the game.  Napier nailed all three free throws to give them a five-point lead.

Phillip Nolan followed with a slam dunk that sealed the victory.  Napier finished with 25 points and six rebounds in the victory.

Even though the game was at Madison Square Garden, a lot of Connecticut fans were in the building and heard throughout the game.

Michigan State guard Gary Harris scored 22 points and center Adreian Payne had 13 points and nine rebounds in the loss.

The trip to “Jerry World” marks the first trip to the Final Four for second-year head coach Kevin Ollie.

President Barack Obama picked the Spartans in his bracket to win the tournament this year.
