(POCATELLO, ID) – Construction has resumed on the new Pocatello Animal Shelter. Winter weather put the project on hold, but crews are now back on the job putting in plumbing and a new drain system. The shelter should be finished by December, and will be three times the size of the current facility, which will eventually be torn down and converted to a public dog park. Officials say the new shelter will have larger kennels and an education center to help further involve children in the pet adoption process.
