Idaho Minimum Wage Jobs Decrease
Published at(BOISE, ID) – The number of Idaho workers earning only minimum wage dropped to 7.1 percent last year. Idaho is second only to Tennessee for the highest percentage of workers making the federal minimum of $7.25 per hour. Idaho was one of 27 states to see a deduction in minimum wage jobs. Nearly two-thirds of Idaho’s jobs created last year were in the service industry, where workers are paid an average of $10,000 less per year than those of comparable skill levels working in construction and manufacturing positions.
