With the victory, Larson became the first California native to win a Nationwide race at Auto Club Speedway.

Harvick ran second, finishing just 0.342 seconds behind Larson.  Busch, Joey Logano, and Elliott Sadler rounded out the top five.

“Those last 11, 12 laps were the longest laps of my life,” Larson said. “I’ve been so close to winning so many times, but the fashion we did it in was extra special.”

Larson had finished second in five previous Nationwide races, but never won. He was edged by Busch at Bristol last week.

NASCAR Nationwide Series action shifts to Texas Motor Speedway on Friday, April 4.
