(LOS ANGELES) — Los Angeles Lakers superstar Kobe Bryant will be shut down for the remainder of the season after team doctors ruled his injured knee hasn’t healed.
The 16-time NBA All-Star fractured the lateral tibial plateau in his left knee on Dec. 17, in a game against the Memphis Grizzlies. Bryant also sat out the first 19 games of the season, while rehabbing from a torn Achilles in his left leg he suffered during a game against the Golden State Warriors last April.
Bryant finishes the season averaging 13.8 points, 6.3 assists and 4.3 rebounds in six games.
