Mark Wahlberg Gets Slimed at Nickelodeon’s Kids’ Choice Awards

Sam Jones/Nickelodeon(LOS ANGELES) — Mark Wahlberg couldn’t escape the green slime Saturday night at Nickelodeon’s 27th Annual Kids’ Choice Awards. The show’s host was doused with the green stuff by comedian Kevin Hart — and Wahlberg’s three children — toward the end of the ceremony, which was held at USC’s Galen Center in Los Angeles.
After meeting his slimy fate, Wahlberg, who stars in the upcoming sequel Transformers: Age of Extinction, exclaimed, “I can’t believe my own kids turned on me.”
Don’t feel too badly for Wahlberg. Earlier in the broadcast, he helped slime the likes of The Big Bang Theory actress Kaley Cuoco and “Happy” singer Pharrell Williams.
Magician David Blaine also had some fun with slime, pulling off an illusion in which he appeared to lose his head, with goo shooting out of his neck.
Of course, awards were handed out, too. The Hunger Games: Catching Fire was the lead movie winner, collecting the blimp trophies for favorite movie, favorite movie actress and favorite female buttkicker, the latter two for star Jennifer Lawrence.
The Nickelodeon series Sam & Cat was the top TV winner, collecting two awards, including favorite TV actress for Ariana Grande.
Dan Schneider, a former Head of the Class actor who’s the creative force behind hit Nickelodeon series like Sam & Cat, iCarly, and Kenan & Kel, accepted the Lifetime Achievement Award.
