In the clip, we see more glimpses of a new character, Prince Oberyn Martell, aka “The Red Viper,” who will become a major player in the new season. And it appears as though Jaime Lannister’s reunion with his sister/lover Cersei won’t be an easy one.

Meanwhile, Tyrion appears to have gotten himself into a tight spot, Stannis is still trying to take over the Iron Throne, Daenerys’ dragons are growing, and teen King Joffrey is just as bratty as he was last season.

The trailer features a cover of the INXS hit “Devil Inside,” as recorded by the new band London Grammar.

Season four of Game of Thrones begins April 6.

Meanwhile, following the New York premiere for the new Game of Thrones season this week, George R.R. Martin, who wrote the books on which the series is based, teased the possibility of bringing his stories to the big screen. He told The Hollywood Reporter that a Game of Thrones film is being considered, though it may hinge on how long the HBO series will last.

Martin asks, “Do we run for seven years? Do we run for eight? Do we run for 10? The books get bigger and bigger [in scope]. It might need a feature to tie things up, something with a feature budget, like $100 million for two hours. Those dragons get real big, you know.”

Martin also raised the possibility of adapting his prequel series, Tales of Dunk and Egg, saying, “I have written these three stories, and I have about a dozen more.”
