(WASHINGTON) — The Obama Administration says Healthcare.gov is a busy place, with more Americans signing up for health insurance as the final deadline nears. More than 5 million consumers have now enrolled for private health insurance through the marketplaces, the Department of Health and Human Services announced Monday.
With just two weeks until the deadline to enroll, the latest figure puts the administration less than a million away from the CBO projection that 6 million would sign up. One caveat: we don’t know if all 5 million-plus have paid, just that they have signed up.
