OT Rodger Saffold Headed to Rams
Published at(NEW YORK) — Offensive tackle Rodger Saffold is headed back to the St. Louis Rams after failing his physical with the Raiders on Wednesday, his agents confirmed.
Saffold will now sign a five-year deal with the Rams, ESPN NFL insider Adam Schefter reports. His worth $31.7 million, including $19.5 million guaranteed, according to Schefter.
Saffold and the Raiders had a disagreement about his shoulder, despite doctors at the Hospital For Special Surgery in New York saying he was fine.
The Raiders offense has struggled over the past few seasons and they were hoping Saffold could provide some protection for quarterback Terrell Pryor.
