(BOISE, ID) – Gov. Butch Otter signed the controversial campus gun bill Wednesday night.  The bill allows people with the enhanced concealed carry permit to bring guns onto the campuses of Idaho’s public colleges and universities. Dormitories and stadiums would still be off limits. The measure drew strong criticism from Democrats, school administrators, and some law enforcement officials, who claimed it would pose an unnecessary security risk. Otter says he backed the bill because he wants to protect Second Amendment rights for law-abiding citizens.
