David West scored 24 points and grabbed five rebounds to lead Indiana (47-17), but the story of the night was Andrew Bynum’s first game in a Pacer uniform.

Bynum played for the first time in 2½ months. He signed with the Pacers last month but needed to get in better shape in order to take the court. If Tuesday night’s game was any indication, it worked: In 16 minutes, Bynum had eight points and 10 rebounds.

“I felt great. I couldn’t do anything wrong today,” Bynum said after the game. “All the rebounds came my way. I just grabbed them.”

The win gives Indiana a 1½-game lead over Miami in the Eastern Conference standings. The Pacers also became the first team to win 30 home games.

Jared Sullinger led the Celtics (22-42) with 17 points off the bench.
