“If everybody was a one-strike-and-you’re-out, then we’d all be in trouble,” Ravens owner Steve Bisciotti told ESPN. “When somebody repeats mistakes, it’s showing a lack of character to me. You can’t take what Ray’s done — the kind of locker-room influence he’s been and the kind of community commitment that he’s shown — and say he’s a different person.”

Back on Feb. 15, Rice was arrested after a physical altercation with his fiancée at a casino in Atlantic City. A video of part of the incident was obtained and later posted by TMZ.

The 27-year-old Rice has spent his entire six-year career with the Ravens, but is coming off one of his worst seasons as a pro.  In 2013, Rice rushed for 660 yards, his fewest since his rookie year in 2008, and averaged just 3.1 yards per carry.
