St. Joseph’s Gets By VCU, Headed to March Madness

G Fiume/Getty Images(NEW YORK) -- St. Joseph's is headed to the March Madness after beating VCU, 65-61, to claim the Atlantic-10 title.

Langston Galloway scored 19 points to guide the fourth-seeded Hawks past the Rams for their first title since 1997.

Galloways tie-breaking three-pointer gave St. Joseph's the lead with just over two minutes remaining and they'd go on to seal the victory with clutch free throws down the stretch.

Ronald Roberts added 15 points and 11 rebounds in the victory.

Rob Brandenburg was the leading scorer for VCU with 18 points.  The Rams have lost the Atlantic-10 title game in back-to-back years.
