Michael Emerson, 23, was deliberately struck by a white Ford F150 Crew Cab Truck outside the Silverado Movie Theater near Tomball, according to authorities.

According to investigators, Emerson was discussing the ending of the movie with his friends in the men’s room when a couple of other men joined in the argument about whether there would be a sequel.

They continued arguing about the movie after leaving the theater when Emerson reportedly confronted the two men after they had gotten into their truck. At that point, police say the driver floored the vehicle into reverse and knocked Emerson to the ground. He later died from his injuries.

The vehicle’s driver and passenger remain at large.

The victim’s mother released a statement, “Help us find out who did this to Michael so we can get justice for him and our family.”
