“Two Fat Ladies” Star Dies

Clarissa Dickson Wright, one of two stars on the British cooking show Two Fat Ladies died on Saturday in Edinburgh, Scotland. She was 66.

Wright and Jennifer Patterson rose to fame in middle age when they were cast as the irreverent duo in the cult hit cooking show, in which they drove around the English countryside in a motorcycle and side car.

Her agents said Wright had been ill for several months, according to The New York Times.
