Another Earthquake Hits Custer County

(CHALLIS, ID) – A magnitude 4.4 earthquake hit the Challis area Monday afternoon. The U.S. Geological Survey reported the temblor hitting a rural area about 14 miles north of Challis at 2:16 p.m. Monday’s tremor was the latest in a swarm of seismic activity in recent weeks, which included a magnitude 4.9 quake on Saturday. Several residents reported feeling it, but no damage was reported
