(CLEVELAND) — Bobcats center Al Jefferson scored a team-high 24 points and pulled down 15 rebounds as Charlotte (39-38) outlasted the Cleveland Cavaliers (31-47) in overtime, 96-94 on Saturday night to clinch their second post-season berth in franchise history.
Charlotte had a chance to win the game in regulation, but guard Kemba Walker missed a 23-foot three pointer at the buzzer. In overtime, Jefferson took over, scoring seven of the Bobcats 14 points.
The Bobcats last playoff appearance came in 2010, where they were swept out of the first round by the Orlando Magic. Last season, Charlotte finished with a 21-61 record.
