Fox’ deal will keep him on the Broncos sidelines through the 2016 season.

“We are pleased to reach this agreement with John Fox, who has played a key role in the success and improvement of the Broncos during the last three seasons,” Broncos vice president of football operations John Elway said in a statement. “While our team has made progress each year under Coach Fox, we both understand that there is still work to be done for us to reach our ultimate goal.”

Fox has helped steadily improve the Broncos since taking over the team back in 2011. He’s 34-14 during the regular season with the Broncos, and has gone 3-3 in the playoffs.

Fox helped guide the Broncos to the Super Bowl this past season after 13-3 regular season, but lost the big game to the Seattle Seahawks.
