Watson, who won back in 2012, held off Jonas Blixt and Jordan Spieth, who both finished 5-under, for another magical ceremony at Augusta.

Watson becomes the 17th golfer to have at least two Masters championships and the ninth to own two green jackets.

Adam Scott finished 1-over-289 in his quest to become the fourth person to win back-to-back titles.

Tiger Woods was the last person to do it (2001 & 2002) which put him in the same company as Jack Nicklaus and Nick Faldo.

After leading on the first day of the tournament, Bill Haas finished 2-over-290.

Rory McIlroy finished even and was 3-under-288 and will have to wait another year for a chance at his first green jacket.

This was the first time since 1994 that both Woods and Phil Mickelson were not on the course on the final day.

Mickelson failed to make the cut and Woods pulled out of the tournament after having back surgery.
