Cuonzo Martin Replaces Montgomery at California
(BERKELEY, Calif.) -- Cuonzo Martin has headed west.
Martin, who led Tennessee to the Sweet 16 this season, has departed Knoxville to take the head coaching job at California.
California athletic director Sandy Barbour says the contract is for five years.
The 42-year-old Martin takes over for Mike Montgomery, who retired in March after spending six years with the Golden Bears.
