Dairy Lobbying Group Wants to Join Lawsuit

(BOISE, ID) – The Idaho Dairymen’s Association is asking a federal judge to add the group as a defendant in a lawsuit challenging the so-called “ag gag” law. The group contends that animal rights activists do not have the right to secretly film alleged abuse on private farms, which they believe harms the dairy industry. Opponents of the bill say it imposes harsher punishments for whistleblowers than it does for those guilty of hurting cows.
