(FORT HALL, ID) – A Fort Hall man who was shot by a Bannock County sheriff’s deputy during a high-speed chase last fall has pleaded guilty to a charge of felony eluding.  Thirty-three-year-old Kevin Toane reached a plea agreement with prosecutors on Monday, in exchange for having two felony aggravated assault charges dropped. Deputy Clint Brown opened fire on the suspect Nov. 27, after Toane tried to ram his patrol car. Toane had allegedly left the scene of an accident minutes earlier, but refused to pull over because he didn’t want to go to jail. Toane had to be airlifted to a Utah hospital for treatment, and is now in recovery.
