Jackson Approves More Funds for Landslide Support
Published at(JACKSON, WY) – The city of Jackson is setting aside $700,000 to build a buttress to temporarily slow a landslide. The weight will be placed in a parking lot and will serve as a counterbalance to the slumping East Gros Ventre Butte. About 60 residents began evacuation procedures last Wednesday, while four houses and two apartment buildings remain off limits.
