Seinfeld vet Julia Louis-Dreyfus has won two Emmys for playing the bumbling, potty-mouthed Vice President Selena Meyer.

ABC News Radio caught up with Louis-Dreyfus and show creator Armando Iannucci, who told us for those who haven’t seen the series, it may be set in Washington, D.C., but Veep‘s not Scandal or House of Cards. In fact, it is, in essence, an office comedy, according to Iannucci.

While Iannucci says that the third-season premiere sets off “a couple of big changes,” he laughed, “I mean, nobody gets shot.”

For her part, Louis-Dreyfus says she hopes people don’t ever mistake her for her character.

“I’d like to say that I’m nothing like Selena,” Louis-Dreyfus said. “I hope I’m not. She’s a disaster. It’s like you take your own ego and you blow it up to 10,000 times its size. Then maybe I’m 1/10,000th like her.”

Veep airs Sunday at 10:30 p.m. Eastern time on HBO.
