No Poker for Fort Hall Casino

(FORT HALL, ID) – The Coeur d’Alene tribe of northern Idaho wants poker rooms in their casinos, but it may not have much of an impact on local Indian gaming. Nathan Small of the Fort Hall Business Council says the Shoshone-Bannock tribes already have a gaming compact with the state of Idaho that prohibits poker. Idaho Lottery officials are asking the National Indian Gaming Commission to weigh in on the Coeur d’Alene issue, which may take several more weeks.
