No Preliminary Hearing for Machete-Wielding Attacker

(POCATELLO, ID) – A Pocatello burglar who was shot while trying to attack his neighbor with a machete waived his preliminary hearing Wednesday. Fifty-four-year-old Twain Thomas tried to force his way into his neighbor’s apartment at a complex on Garfield Avenue in February. He now faces two felony counts of attempted murder. The neighbor reportedly set up a camera to film the incident if anything happened, and opened fire with a 9mm handgun to protect himself and his girlfriend. The case will now move forward to district court.
