Northern Calif. Judge May Allow Serial Rapist to Move to LA County
Published at(LOS ANGELES) — The Los Angeles District Attorney is fighting back after a judge in Northern California ruled a notorious serial rapist can move to Los Angeles County.
A judge in Santa Clara is giving preliminary approval allowing Christopher Hubbart to move to a rural area of Los Angeles County when he is released from a mental hospital.
Hubbart, who was known as the Pillowcase Rapist, admitted to raping 38 women between 1971 and 1982.
A landlord has agreed to rent him a home outside the city of Palmdale.
LA’s District Attorney is fighting the move. The judge has set a hearing for May 21 to hear public comment before making a final ruling.
