Headley flied out to center in the top of the second inning and then did not return to the field in the bottom half of the inning.

This isn’t the first time this year Headley’s right calf has bothered him. He strained it Feb. 22 during a rundown drill at the Padres’ spring training complex. The strain kept Headley out of games until March 18.

Headley has also been dealing with other ailments this season. He missed three starts last week due to a sore left knee and a right biceps strain.

In the 19 games he has played this season, the 29-year-old Headley hit .188 with two home runs and seven RBIs.
