Plans for Marvel Films, TV Projects Appear Endless

The Walt Disney Company/Marvel Comics(NEW YORK) — Marvel is well prepared for the future, according to a report in Bloomberg Businessweek.
The report says Marvel’s plan for films extends at least 14 years out. The report also mentions that Disney CEO Bob Iger and Walt Disney Studios Chairman Alan Horn “recently met with the Marvel team to talk about new heroes who will be introduced in [the Avengers sequel] Age of Ultron and could be spun off in their own films as well.”
Iger says that Disney counted more than 8,000 characters in Marvel’s library that could be spun out into movies and television projects.
The latest Marvel film, Captain America: The Winter Soldier, is in theaters Friday — although its star Chris Evans is already in Seoul, South Korea working on Avengers 2.
