Rockies Place Outfielder Michael Cuddyer on 15-Day DL

"Extremely frustrating," Cuddyer said of his setback. "This is nagging more than anything else."

Even though the injury isn't considered serious, the team is not taking any chances.

Cuddyer, the NL's Batting Champion last season, was off to another great start this season in his second year in Colorado. In 16 games, Cuddyer was batting .317 with three home runs.

"Cuddy is one of the best players on this team," shortstop Troy Tulowitzki said. "More than even on this team, in the game. It's definitely going to make an impact. But we're deep enough; we're going to be OK."

Tulowitzki wasn't exaggerating when he talked about the team's depth. The Rockies this season lead Major League Baseball in runs, batting average, and are second in on base percentage.
