(SAN FRANCISCO) — The San Francisco 49ers signed free agent wide receiver Brandon Lloyd to a one-year contract on Tuesday. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
The 49ers originally selected Lloyd out of Illinois in the fourth round of the 2003 NFL draft. In three seasons with San Francisco, he had 105 receptions for 1,510 yards and 14 touchdowns.
Lloyd is a ten-year NFL veteran, having also suited up with the Washington Redskins (2006-07), Chicago Bears (2008), Denver Broncos (2009-11), St. Louis Rams (2011) and New England Patriots (2012). While with the Broncos in 2010, he led the league in receiving yards (1,448) and ranked fourth in receiving touchdowns (11).
The 33-year-old Lloyd has amassed 5,695 receiving yards and 35 touchdowns in 128 career games.
