Warriors Rout Clippers, 118-97, Los Angeles Protest

NBA via Golden State Warriors(OAKLAND, Calif.) — The Los Angeles Clippers made a silent protest against owner Donald Sterling before Sunday’s game against the Golden State Warriors.
Los Angeles players got rid of their warm-up jerseys and wore red shirts inside out during the pre-game and had on black bands on their wrists or arms and black socks.
Golden State swarmed the Clippers throughout the game and Stephen Curry had 33 points in their 118-97 win to even the series up at two.
“We wanted to come out and focus on all the work we’ve put in over the summer, throughout the course of the season to get ready for this moment in the playoffs and just have fun and enjoy it — not let one person ruin it for everybody,” Curry said.
Game 5 is on Tuesday and Golden State head coach Mark Jackson was asked after the win if he felt like the Clippers were affected by Sterling’s alleged comments.
“I think both teams were somewhat bothered by what has taken place the last 24 hours,” Warriors coach Mark Jackson said. “But my guys just played with great energy, great effort.”
Clippers coach Doc Rivers is not sure what to expect come Tuesday night at home.
“We’re going home now, and usually that would mean we’re going to our safe haven,” Rivers said. “And I don’t even know if that’s true.”
Chris Paul had 16 in the loss and Blake Griffin scored 21 points and six rebounds.
