Warriors Stun Clippers 109-105, Take 1-0 Series Lead
(LOS ANGELES) -- Klay Thompson and Blake Griffin combined to score 42 points as the Golden State Warriors stunned the Los Angeles Clippers 109-105 in their playoff series opener.
Stephen Curry added 14 points for Golden State, who rallied from a double-digit deficit in the second half.
Chris Paul led the Clippers with 28 points and eight assists in the loss. Blake Griffin finished with 16 points, but he fouled out with 48 seconds remaining and the game tied at 105.
Darren Collison made 1 of 2 free throws late in the fourth quarter, giving the Clippers their first lead since early in the third at 103-102. Warriors forward Harrison Barnes drilled a three-pointer to give his team the lead for good.
The teams split their four games in the regular season, so the rest of the series should be quiite interesting. Game 2 will be played on Monday night.
