(POCATELLO, ID) – The wife of a Boise pastor imprisoned in Iran was in Pocatello Sunday night to speak about her husband’s plight. Naghmeh Abedini told members of Calvary Chapel that her her husband Saeed was tortured for months by Iranian authorities because he shared his Christian faith while conducting humanitarian work two years ago. While GOP leaders nationwide have been calling on the Obama administration to secure his release, Abedini says it’s imperative that people at a grassroots level reach out to the president as well.
