Blackhawks Roll Past Wild, 4-1, Take 2-0 Series Lead
(CHICAGO) -- Bryan Bickell led the Chicago Blackhawks past the Minnesota Wild in their 4-1 victory on Sunday.
Chicago now has a 2-0 series lead and Bickell scored a goal and had two assists in the victory.
"There were bits of that third where it wasn't looking good, but we just stuck with it," Bickell said. "Leave it to our D and Crawford to keep the puck out of the net. We need to be smarter defensively in positioning, but we stuck with it and got over the hump."
The Blackhawks were up 2-0 going into the third period, but Cody McCormick scored early in the period to make it 2-1.
Bickell's goal came with 2:45 left in the period and Brandon Saad scored on the empty net to seal the victory for Chicago.
"We weren't that far off," Wild coach Mike Yeo said. "Even though, again, I know we can play better. We weren't that far off. That game was hanging for us."
Blackhawks goalie Corey Crawford made 18 saves in the win.
