Greg Jennings Happy to have Teddy Bridgewater on the Vikings

Andy Lyons/Getty Images(MINNEAPOLIS) -- With the issues the Minnesota Vikings issues at quarterback in recent years, wide receiver Greg Jennings is thrilled the team has drafted former Louisville quarterback Teddy Bridgewater.

The Vikings traded back into the first round to select Bridgewater, who will presumably be the quarterback of the future as the team has no long-term options on the current roster.

Jennings thinks Bridgewater is a better fit for the team working with head coach Mike Zimmer and offensive coordinator than Johnny Manziel.

"I truly believe that given any player, if they're willing to work and willing to be better, that these two coaches -- two, literally, head coaches that we have on both sides of the ball -- they can make anybody better," Jennings said. "I just didn't think -- which was probably what there thought was -- that Manziel fit what we're trying to get gone personality-wise."

Even though he fell in the draft, Bridgewater had an impressive college career. In his senior season, Bridgewater threw for 3,970 yards with 31 touchdowns and just four interceptions.
