Madison County Complies with State Gun Laws

(REXBURG, ID) – Madison County is finally complying with state laws regarding firearms in public buildings.  County administrators have voted to repeal a ban on firearms in places like the Sheriff’s Office and Madison Memorial Hospital. Sheriff Roy Klingler says that firearms in the hands of trained, law-abiding citizens are a good deterrent for crime, and can reduce the likelihood of mass shootings, which happen almost exclusively in gun-free zones. The ban will remain in place at the county courthouse.
