Selanne Likely Calling it a Career

Anaheim Ducks/NHL(ANAHEIM, Calif.) -- It sounds like it's finally time for Anaheim Ducks forward Teemu Selanne to hang up his skates.

The 43-year-old Selanne, who is also known as the "Finnish Flash," has previously said he will retire this summer, and after the the teams 6-2 loss to the Los Angeles Kings in Game 7 of the Western Conference semifinals, it seems like he'll keep his word.

"I've been flirting with this decision for a long time, but the passion and the fun always brought me back," Selanne said. "I still love this game, and I still know I can play, but it is better this way than having different situations, and that's why I think it is the right time."

Selanne has played 21 NHL seasons and is 15th all-time on the NHL's scoring list with 1,457 points and 11th all-time with 684 goals.

Selanne played in 64 games for the Ducks this season scoring nine goals and dishing out 18 assists.
