Burley Concerned About Ida Pro Odors


(BURLEY, ID) – The city of Burley is cracking down on foul odors coming from the Ida Pro vegetable dehydration plant. The city has filed a complaint to the Idaho Department of Environmental Quality over the smell, which officials say is burning eyes and throats. Company executives say they’ve already spent a half-million dollars on odor elimination. Another device for reducing the smell is on order, and should be installed next month.
