BYU-Idaho Students Propose Bus Service

(REXBURG, ID) – BYU-Idaho students are researching options for public transportation in Rexburg. Professor Matthew Miles tells KIDK that adding a bus system could eliminate as many as 12,000 cars, since a large number of students would use it if it was available. City officials estimate that it would cost about $161,000 per year, which isn’t economically feasible at the moment. They say there could be room for a transit system in the near future as long as there is a demand for it in the private sector.
