Croatia Eliminates Cameroon from World Cup

Clive Brunskill/Getty Images(MANAUS, Brazil) -- Cameroon midfielder Alex Song was ejected after getting a red card late in the first half, and Croatia capitalized scoring three of their four goals after the penalty en route to a 4-0 win over Cameroon in Group A play at the World Cup Wednesday.

Song was ejected in the 40th minute when he elbowed Croatian striker Mario Mandzukic. That gave Cameroon 10 men for the rest of the match. Mandzukic, who had been suspended from Croatia's first game versus Brazil, capitalized on the penalty by scoring twice to help eliminate Cameroon from World Cup contention.

Ivica Olic and Ivan Perisic also scored for Croatia, who can advance out of the group stage with a win over Mexico on Monday.
