Idaho Republican Chairman Calls for Special Meeting

BOISE, Idaho (AP) – Idaho Republican Chairman Barry Peterson is calling for a special meeting to settle the party’s leadership. Republicans failed to elect a new chairman or any party officers at their state convention earlier this month. Later, the state central committee decided that Peterson would lead the party for two more years. The next meeting is scheduled for Aug. 9.
