ISU Receives Federal Grant for Unmanned Planes

drone IDAHO FALLS, Idaho (AP) – Idaho State University has received a $150,000 federal grant to develop techniques using unmanned aerial vehicles to monitor crop health. Project Director Donna Delparte says that sensors on the craft have the potential to provide farmers quick information such as if a field needs more water or that plants are being attacked by insects.
