Power County Sides with Magnida Over Pollution Concerns

(AMERICAN FALLS, ID) – Power County officials are responding to complaints about the proposed Magnida fertilizer plant in American Falls. According to a press release issued on Tuesday, authorities are confident that Magnida has taken the appropriate steps necessary to ensure public safety and avoid environmental problems. Executives with Lamb Weston, which is located next to the future facility, had opposed the project because of concerns about pollution. Magnida must abide by its special use permit issued by the county in order to keep the project going.
