State on Track for Prison Takeover
(BOISE, ID) – The Idaho Department of Corrections is finalizing preparations to take over the state’s largest prison south of Boise. The 2,000-bed facility will transfer over from private management starting July 1. That’s when Corrections Corporation of America loses its $29 million annual contract. Administrators hope the transfer will be seamless in a way that doesn’t disrupt the fragile relationship between staff and inmates.
