State Orders Recount of Non-Discrimination Vote
(POCATELLO, ID) – The Idaho Attorney General’s Office has ordered a recount on Pocatello’s controversial non-discrimination measure. The law prohibits discrimination on issues of employment, housing, and public services based on gender identity or sexual orientation. Last month’s memorandum on the ordinance came within 100 votes of passing. A committee of county elections officials will hold a recount at the Bannock County Courthouse on Friday, June 27. Representatives from both sides will then be brought in to view the final tally.
