(POCATELLO, ID) – The Idaho Board of Education has formally updated its campus safety procedures to allow guns on some college campuses.   The updated policy clarifies state rules in accordance with a law passed earlier this year. That means students and faculty with the enhanced concealed carry permit will be allowed to carry in most public campus facilities. In response, Idaho State University public safety officers will be eligible to undergo the state’s Peace Officer certification process. That includes arming officers as part of a much broader effort to improve response times.
