Swimming Is Cool for a Lot of Reasons
(LONDON) -- Sure, if you want to cool off during the summer, a dip in the pool or ocean is always a good idea. But did you also know that swimming can benefit you in other ways, including improving your outlook on life?
That's the scoop from a British group that holds swimming relays throughout the U.K every summer. Members of British Gas SwimBritain says their study of the advantages of swimming reveals that the level of positivity of participants increases by 20 percent in just a week and 35 percent over four weeks.
Not only do people get happier when they swim, according to British Gas SwimBritain, but they get healthier too.
The study also found that people reported that sleep quality improved while energy and fitness levels rose significantly.
